1. The problem

   A school ERP has three audiences with different devices and different permissions: the office on desktops, teachers between classes on their phones, parents who only want to know about their own child. One web app for all three serves none of them well.

2. The approach

   • One data layer (Prisma) shared by every surface, so a mark entered by a teacher is the same row a parent reads.
   • Web portals in Next.js for the office and admin work; Expo apps for parents and teachers where a phone is the real device.
   • Each audience sees its own slice: parents their children, teachers their classes, the office everything.

3. What shipped

   • Admin and office portals on the web.
   • Parent and teacher mobile apps built with Expo.
   • Shared TypeScript types and a single Prisma schema across web and mobile.
